Uecomm announces changes in Board structure
The Chairman of Uecomm (UEC), Mr Peter Shore, announced today that Patrick O’Sullivan, Allen Lew, Warren Hardy and William Hope had accepted positions on the Board of the Company.
Uecomm’s Chairman, Mr Shore welcomed the four Optus-nominated directors to the Board, saying that the Independent Directors looked forward to working with them.
Mr Shore advised that Optus had yesterday announced that it had acquired 83.7% of Uecomm’s shares. The Optus offer for the shares in Uecomm is due to close at 7pm Sydney time on 3 August 2004.
