Uecomm Announces Changes in Board Structure

The Chairman of Uecomm Limited (UEC), Peter Shore announced today that Bob Browning and Chris Indermaur of Alinta Limited had accepted positions on the Board of the Company.

Bob Browning is a director and Chief Executive Officer, and Chris Indermaur is the General Manager for Strategy and Development of Alinta Limited, the 66% majority shareholder in Uecomm.

In announcing the appointment, Mr Shore said, "we welcome Bob and Chris to the Board and look forward to their contribution to the future development and success of the Company. Bob and Chris have a proven track record in strategic and corporate development and I am sure that they will add another dimension to the already successful strategies employed by the Company".

The appointments to the Board follow recent statements by Alinta that it sees significant growth and potential to add further shareholder value to both companies from its involvement in Uecomm. Mr Shore said, "I welcome the appointments as an acknowledgement, by the majority shareholder, of the potential within the Uecomm business to further grow shareholder value. I look forward to working with Bob and Chris in considering opportunities present in our market place".

Mr Leigh Hall, a director of the Company since mid-2000, has tendered his resignation from the Board. "I also announce that Leigh has resigned from the Board this day. Leigh has been a stable and guiding hand for the Company since 2000, and we appreciate his positive contribution over that difficult period. We will miss him and wish him all the best for his future", said Mr Shore.

Bob Browning
Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree from San Diego State University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix and a Masters of Business Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management. Bob is a director of Austal Ships Ltd. and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia.

Chris Indermaur
Chris holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical), a Graduate Diploma of Engineering (Chemical) and a Bachelor of Laws. Chris is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers.
