Uecomm Appointment Affirms Business Focus
Uecomm Limited, the specialist fibre broadband carrier, announced the appointment of experienced telecommunications professional, Mr Tony Azzopardi into the newly created position of Director, Infrastructure Services, responsible for Operations, Networks and Information Technology.
The appointment gives emphasis to Uecomm's strong commercial focus and the importance the Company places on customer relationships and delivering service excellence.
Mr Peter McGrath, CEO of Uecomm said, "Tony brings a strong blend of technical and commercial experience to Uecomm, with more than 20 years in the telecommunications industry spanning various technology and management roles.
Tony's experience has been gained from companies such as Telstra, OTC, Telecommunications Power, Cable & Wireless (Indonesia) and SMS Management & Technology, both in Australia and overseas," he said.
Mr Azzopardi, was formerly Director, Strategic Development at SMS Management and Technology, a listed project management and IT services company.
With a network of approximately 2000kms of optical fibre, Uecomm owns and operates one of the largest data networks in Australia delivering broadband data and Internet services to large corporations, government departments and other telecommunications service providers.
Uecomm was established in 1997 and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: UEC) in September 2000.
