Uecomm Appoints KPMG as Auditor
Uecomm Limited announced today that KPMG has been appointed by the Board of Directors as its independent auditor. The appointment is effective as of 26 June 2002, following receipt of the consent of the Australian Securities and Investment Commission.
KPMG was selected following a tender process undertaken following the resignation of Arthur Andersen.
In accordance with ASIC's guidelines relating to the resignation of Arthur Andersen as auditors for public companies, shareholders will be asked to ratify the appointment of KPMG at the Company's Annual General Meeting in April 2003.
